Rose Petals

Life never was the macho man type
It just tried to treat you as you deserved
It never wanted any kind of medal

Knowing, it wasn’t your outmost dream
But romance’s within, and beating forever
Remembering, the first night bed, with rose petals

Deep inside there was something saying
“It’s not what it looks like, push the brake”
But look around, there is no pedal...

Late night, happy hour, after the break
Had some issues, like perhaps missing you
But the feeling somehow ended up settled

A whole lot of question marks interfering
But they straightened up and went away
When politely asked them not to meddle

Life’s had its trials and tribulations
Great reservation, being patiently waiting
But somehow the hurt feelings always nettled

Let’s look forward, instead of looking back
There’s a bright future, and a past to be proud of
So gather around and bring your mettle...

Remembering, the first night bed, with rose petals
Remembering, the first night bed, with rose petals
Remembering, the first night bed, with rose petals
Remembering, the first night bed, with rose petals
